Cage9 is comprised of Republic of Panama transplants Evan Rodaniche and Gustavo Aued on guitar/vocals and bass respectively, South Bay native Jesse Beltz on guitar, and Arizona's own Gordon Heckaman on drums. Evan keeps things fresh with his uncompromised vocal musings and guitar hysteria, but he also anchors the band as the main song-scaper, vision-creator and recording-guru whose production and mixing skills have not only shaped Cage9's sound but that of many other performers from latin grammy nominated Los Rabanes, Atlantic Record's upstarts Big City Rock, to current Rolling Stone and Spin darlings The Willowz. Bassist Gustavo's lo end rattles the musical Richter scale and charges up the live show with his own style of aggression and untethered energy. Jesse's phat guitar sound and spacey effects is the perfect complement to round out the band's stereo attack. Jesse's also come up in the same L.A. scene in other bands like Agrokulcher and Voze.
Cage9 recently performed on G4's Attack of the Show whose other guests included Milla Jovovich, Jim Rose from the Jim Rose Circus and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. The band has gigged with Seether, Amy Lee of Evanescence, Buckcherry, Smile Empty Soul, Cheap Trick, Adema, Depswa, Authority Zero, Spineshank, Cro-mags, James Iha, Big City Rock, Opiate for the Masses and toured everywhere from Europe to the East Coast to Central America. Often seen sitting in on guitar with Powerman 5000, Evan's relationship with that band landed Cage9 the opening slot on PM5K's East Coast Tour. Recently signed with BMG Music Publishing, the quartet can be heard in the trailer for the Dukes of Hazzard movie performing the first rawked-out version of Waylan Jenning's Good Ol' Boys, as well as FX's popular cop drama The Shield, on ESPN/Japan and Stephen J. Cannell's new thriller Demon Hunter. The track Breaking Me Down from Cage9's new album El Motivo is featured in the movie American Pie: Band Camp. The band was mentioned in Billboard Magazine as well as in Rolling Stone Magazine (Latin America) where Cage9's last E.P. received a cool 3.5 star review. El Motivo was also just released nationwide in Japan in January thru BM3/Triple Vision Ent.

Cage9's newly unvieled opus titled El Motivo is now available in both English and Spanish versions nationwide. The album includes songs like Hearts and Stars which has received repeated spins on L.A.'s World Famous Rock Station KROQ and already been the # 2 most requested song on Panama's top rock radio program. Of  Hollywood Car Crash USA TODAY says "...the initial impact could cause whiplash, but this Panamanian rock band makes great use of subtlety, too, like the layered guitars and the falsetto that kicks in just when you expect a scream." My Doppelganger received Single of the Week status along with a great album review at Popbang Radio. The band is also filming a a concept video in English and Spanish for the song with 2nd Day Crush video director Jesse Schroeder. Solo Fue is currently a top ten radio track in Central America.

The band's dynamic thrives on the band's cultural mix. Evan grew up speaking mostly English in the 10 by 50 mile strip of land known as the Canal Zone, while Gustavo grew up a few miles away in the heart of old Panama City. Now living and jamming together in a rented downtown L.A./Echo Park apartment, the two founding members of Cage9 relate verbally in a rough mix of English and Spanish-slang but musically, they deftly-maneuver from the subtle pop grooves in Sick of It! to the staccato-melodic-overdrive off hit single Hearts & Stars like a well-oiled machine. Of their intense live incarnation, L.A.'s Skinnie Magazine says that Cage9 "have personality and stage presence unlike any local band I've seen." More on Cage9

While enjoying the status of international rock stars, Cage9 has also taken Hollywood by storm. Many of their songs have been included on movie soundtracks, such as The Dukes of Hazzard movie trailer, FX's The Shield, and WWE star Stone Cold Steve Austin's movie Condemned  read more here. "Cage9 is fresh and at the forefront of modern music. The drive and enthusiasm of their music was captured perfectly when I saw them in concert. A creative and energetic good time" says DSN Music's Scott Bergevin.

In 2012, DSN Music featured Cage9's single Needles and Pins as its lead track on the label's Soundtrack to the End Times release.
